A Rainforest Resort in the City

Lisland Rainforest Resort, a family-friendly resort sits along McArthur Hi-way in San Vicente, Urdaneta, Pangasinan is truly an exciting getaway whether its summer or rainy season. Good fact with this paradise is it located within the city. It has two irregular sized swimming pools for kids and adults you’ll surely love. Pool entrance for a day time swimming escapade is only P100 for adults and P80 for the kids. Picnic huts for up to 15 people only costs P400 while long tables for 10 and 5 persons can be used for P250 and P180 respectively.

The day I visited the resort is also the moment I had the chance to taste some of their house specialties in their classy restaurant with very affordable rates Bai Marin. Bai Marin’s special halo-halo is the best halo-halo I ever tried for only P80! I coupled it with a grilled hamburger (P125) good for 2-3persons and their Lisland Iced Tea P30. This sumptuous merienda experience was completed with some business talks with Dalia, resort’s head whom I also arranged ex-deals (to her surprise) when I was with Rated K, Handa na ba Kayo in ABS-CBN three years ago. Ms Dalia is also responsible for bringing Ms Earth candidates to Lisland Rainforest Resort in the past few years closer to Pangasinenses. Bai Marin Restaurant customers may see a breath-taking view of the pool area and the old trees around it either on a sunny or rainy day.

Room rates for overnight stay are also competitive, considering pool inclusions and sumptuous breakfast. You may stay in their cosy and very exclusive Standard Room as low as P2,200 and P2,800 for Superior Room. Family Rooms are up for P3,300 good for four persons. All rooms are just a few steps away from the main pool you’ll surely love! (Though I wasn’t able to take some shots of their rooms)

Lisland Rainforest Resort is also complete with facilities for business meetings, conferences, and weddings too at a very affordable price. Wedding packages are up from P500 to P890 per person depending on your set food choice.

Pleasure is always on its peak with Lisland! With a perfect restaurant with exceptional service and facilities, Lisland Rainforest Resort is still one of the best recreational venues in the region. With hundreds of tall trees around you and an immeasurable pool area, you’ll surely fall in love with the place. As Lisland’s General Manager stated, “The reason we put up the resort is because we did not have to cut down any trees. We planted some trees but the majority are old trees. Bata pa ako (I was still a child) and the trees were already here.”

It is always best to bring your family, friends and workmates in a family-owned business like Lisland Rainforest Resort I truly recommend for a hundred percent service and facilities. Check Lisland Rainforest Resort’s website at http://www.lisland.com.ph.
